Thanks for making a video about these seldom seen tools. I used similar tools to make all the tenons on the set of four Windsor chairs I made and they worked fine. I was told the first tool is called a "spoke pointer". The hard part is to keep everything aligned so the tenon is centered on the stock and not at an angle. The tenons finish is pretty rough but it is not visible in the finished piece so not really a problem.
