As someone who drives these for a living, you would've ripped that baby apart when you went straight to notch 8 😂

Imagine getting stuck at a level crossing waiting for this beast to cruise by

Btw there’s a radio looking thing on the left side above the controls which has a “banking comm” button. It’s good to enable this so your locos at the front can communicate with the locos at the back so that the 3 locos at the back also help you.

As a railroader in real life myself a train like this would have a 4 units. 2 in lead, 1 mid train and tail end remote.

Man a Microsoft world would be sick imagine your driving a diesel train and a f22 flys past full afterburner or a Apache helicopter escorts you, that would be so sick

I love trains and planes. Great video as always! Please keep doing these! 🙏🏻👍🏻

Definitely don't want to stop the train with a full emergency brake application. Your conductor will be going for a walk to inspect the train, and you will be pulled in for statements.

The whole part of the train just rolling through was just ASMR bliss it was soothing honestly.

Pretty cool! In real life, Engineers use Dynamic Brakes first because it's instant. Train brakes are used to supplement if DB aren't slowing the train down enough. They start with "Minimum reduction" and see how it goes. Once it starts slowing down, they may go to full release and try controlling with just DBs.

It's an art to manage the slack action. Very easy to jack-knife or pull apart a train. You have to visualize and feel what the train is doing and anticipate curves and hills. Not as easy as it looks. Gives an idea of the real thing. Great job!

I work on tracks for a living. Always an amazing feeling having these blow by at speed.

If you ever buy any DLCs for Train Sim World 5 to do a video on, I think the London Underground, London Overground, Berninalinie, LGV Méditerranée, and the Midland Mainline are some really good dlcs

Sand Patch Grade, Horseshoe Curve, Clinchfield Railroad, Cane Creek, and Sherman Hill are great US freight routes as well!

Family used to run a concrete business. No shot those cars are full of concrete, unless someone ordered giant train car bricks.. likely filled with cement (powder) which is a key ingredient in concrete. Very much a faux Paux to concrete people 😅

I work on freight trains for everyday job. This looks fun though. 5700 ft. is small these days. Locos in the rear are called distributed power, required when you're a specific length and or weight

4:36. The way you do this fade away moment as you look directly at the camera ps very captivating and your tone of voice. Is absolutely phenomenal Trevor I love it. It’s my favorite part in the videos. And your enthusiasm. ❤. Please show Alex this.

The Microsoft world is a really good idea. Use FS as the game engine and core. You create an avatar and then can go explore, skill up, etc.
