I love the Donald Duck story cause the sudden rage is totally in character, this isn’t some evil demonic force, it’s real life Donald Duck

I know how faulty the memories of children can be, but the stories of familiar characters appearing to young children reminded me of something that happened that I had not thought about in years. Though I don't remember much and assumed that I had simply imagined the event, I recall being in my lofted bed and looking down to see a procession of sorts below coming in through my bedroom door. I don't recall if they were characters or what characters they were, but the image of this line of some things walking in was reawakened. There was no interaction as far as I can remember.

I remember the freaking dolls! I saw them during a sleepover once, with a friend of a relative that I never hung with again. He was terrified, but said it happened often and we needed to ignore them "even if they touch us". I did not sleep. We were around 8 years old, in the early 90s.

Ngl dude this was one of the best videos I've watched and the music in the background while subtle is extremely impactful to the atmosphere of this story telling, you have my genuine thanks because this created some core memories for me while working

Kid’s minds are weird sometimes I think. These stories remind me of one of my very first memories, which occurred when I still slept in a crib. I had either a lucid dream or some kind of sleep paralysis where the whale from Pinocchio, Monstro, materialized out of thin air and swallowed me like in the movie.
I remember feeling awake, afraid and being aware of my surroundings, since the dream took place in my actual room and I don’t recall really waking up from it.

Tbh I’ve had strange dreams all my life, not nightmares but just weird and random ones, so something like that isn’t too unusual when put into perspective, it’s just weird that I was supposedly conscious with my eyes open. I was also able to lucid dream to an extent afterwards but lost control over my dreams when I got older lol

That Santa's dog story was so sweet! When I heard the title I thought it was going to be something morbid, but it was just a cute story about a cute dog

3:55 as soon as I heard the title of this entry it sent chills down my spine. My most vivid childhood nightmare is of the toy box being at the foot of the bed me and my siblings slept in. Me laying there. Lights on. And the toy box opened. And my mom's old cloth dolls with drawn on faces and long creepy limbs came up out and danced around for minutes. I still remember it vividly to this day. It was so real feeling.

When I was a child, I loved looking at the moon. One night, there was a full moon. Because it was brighter and to my eyes looked bigger, I looked out the window from our apartment. I don't know what I saw, but whatever it was made me scream so loud that all the adults in my house and the building (building was small and everyone knew each other), came to check on me. I remember sobbing and saying that the moon scared me.

Same event happened to my niece when she was 4 or 5. She also loved looking at the moon and on a night of a full moon, she saw something and my sister heard her scream and was sobbing saying that the moon was scary.
When my niece was around 13 years old, I asked her if she remembered the event. She said yes but she has no memory of what she saw that had her so terrified.

PS : we live in the french Caribbean, so the elders thought that what we saw were probably jumbees.

The Sesame Street entry reminded me of a series of dreams I had as a child:

I vividly recall dreaming about an unusual childhood "friend". She was a giant fluffy pink rabbit with cat-like features as well. This "bunny" had a feline tail, her ears looked like a cross between the two species, and she had cat-like mannerisms in addition to hopping like a rabbit. She was anthropomorphic, almost resembling a full body puppet like Big Bird or Chewbacca.

The creature's name was Sarah and I like to jokingly call her "the anti-Freddy Krueger". Rather than being a nightmare creature that would haunt my dreams, Sarah was the exact opposite. She was a very friendly and gentle creature. Her voice sounded almost like Sandy Cheeks or Miss Minutes from the recent Loki series.

Each of these dreams were set in her small house. Despite never having been to the place in reality, I can still vividly recall Sarah's house to this day the same way that I remember my aunt's old house before she moved.

Weirdly enough, the entrance to her house was something straight out of a cartoon. Sarah's furry arms would pull me from my bathroom window into her place. The song Come To My Window by Melissa Etheridge always reminded me of her 😂.

Sometimes Sarah had a little blue flower on her head, but that was never consistent. Her bright pink fur was extremely fluffy and she had cartoonishly big eyes. Both of those attributes made her look even cuter.

Even though I had these dreams during my childhood, Sarah was supposed to be closer to my mom's age. She was highly intelligent and mature, making me view her as a bit of a role model.

For obvious reasons, I don't believe that any of this really happened. While I guess I could open my mind to a more "common" paranormal phenomena like ghosts or grey aliens, this is far too cartoonish to ever be real. It's basically a mashup of every kid's show I watched at the time.

Despite the fact that she only existed in my dreams, Sarah felt like a true childhood friend.

I still get emotional whenever I think about her. She represents a wholesome time in my life that is now all but lost. Nowadays, most of my dreams are horrifying realistic scenarios thanks to the anxiety I've developed over time.

Last week, I had a dream about being chased by a roaring lion. Not long before that, I dreamt that I was stuck in a burning building. I would prefer good old Sarah any day 😢.

If I had a nickel for every Humanoid encounter where The Count from Sesame Street scare a child I’d have two Nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
