As thick as the stack of bills you need to buy it

These guys have really lost touch with reality. That price is ridiculous.

Great fantastic looking tool-was hoping for a 250 USD max price point.

TE could make a desktop mixer that's much larger, has balanced 1/4" inputs, nice analog EQs, and the effects from the OP-1, charge this price for it, and sell so many more. I understand that they're a sort of lifestyle brand first and foremost. Hell, I could do with one of the $700 radios or $1200 speakers when I buy my first italian villa. But who is this for? It seems like they've bypassed the consumer and started marketing directly to synthfluencers. Like, sure, it will probably look good under a ring light with a ton of pocket operators hooked up into it, but is anyone going to use it that way outside of an instagram post? Also, I'm sure that the design/components justify the price. I'm not claiming this is some cash grab. I just legitimately cannot imagine anyone with a use for this, lifestyle or otherwise. What's the pitch? You show up a party and everyone wants to play music off their ipod minis and you starting handing out plugs?

Also, the hand in the ad page for this looks like the poster for a made for netflix stephen king adaptation about diabetes testing supplies. Like, seriously nightmare inducing photoshop work. (Edit. I am talking about an uncanny photoshop on their website. I thought that was clear)

I was going to say "finally something good from Teenage Engineering!" until I saw this thing is MORE THAN THE OP-1 WAS AT LAUNCH

Please re-release the OP-Z with the same build materials and techniques as the OP-1.

"oh, that will probably be like $300 when it should be $150, they do kind of overprice their stuff a bit"

wait....its $1, 200? YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MINDS

Cool… but the Syntakt —16 tracks of analog and digital synths— just came out too and is cheaper by $200!

I love you TE. But that price is too nutty.

$1200 price tag. I can buy a new MacBook with that kind of money.

This design is great, for the very specific niche that TE has designed it for. Currently, the knobs seem completely useless for any performance oriented mixing (for example using the EQ as a DJ would) since they are way too small. The price point is, considering the build materials and engineering, completely justifiable, but also the direct result of going for a design that is, arguably, about twice as small as it really needed to be...

It looks really nice and well built - great job on the style. Did you consider making it bigger when you were designing it? This seems small. Looks like one would have no choice but to use the slimmest 3.5mm cables

Does this have any built in recording function? Seems like it could have been near-perfect if it had a built in recording function as well… Especially as a portable mixer!

The power button looks cute. Completely useless by not being flushed to the rest of the chassis. That and being OVERPRICED by $900 is ridiculous

Looks great. I was excited until the comments made me realize the price...

Hope for multitrack recording functionality in future updates. Even with remote screen like in OP-Z this would be great DAWlite replacement

That power button there doesn't feel right...
