Great review of the Wemo switch! Wemo makes great budget devices but their native app is maddening at times. Your home's wiring reminds me of my own. SO MANY switches and 3-way especially, where it's not really needed.

I have tried several Wemo devices and all have had connectivity issues to HomeKit. I have found Lutron Caseta Wireless dimmer switches to be 100 percent reliable and no neutral wire is needed. Super easy install. Great video - but clearly Wemo is not reliable and not easy to get up and working without some unnecessary complications

Here in Brazil, we have the modified Sonof min for HomeKit, which work perfectly well, both in normal and 3-way switches.

Excellent video! The instructional videos that are edited like this are MUCH better than so many that just include people rambling on for way too long when you're trying to get the information. I love that you got right to it and got out the information. Great video! Have you done any on the lutron switches? Do they require replacing both switches for the same setup as in this video?

Great video Eric! I’m a huge fan of using smart switches. This has me wanting to look into these wemo switches more. So to clarify, if you flip a “dumb” switch off that’s connected to one of these in a 3 way, you can still control the lights via voice/app?

Great video! So all three neutrals can go into same bundle? I have 2 bundles in there, 1 bundle has 2 wires, the other bundle has 3 neutral wires, how would you wire that? Thank you so much!

The Eaton Z-Wave 9601-D can be installed in the place of the switch leg 3way switch while leaving the other 3way and 4way switches normal.

Great Video! I got excited when I saw this for a 4 way. But I am still HOPING that another solution comes soon for a dimmable 4 way switch. I have the Lutron Casseta and it is a Love / Hate Relationship. Love the reliability and Pico. Hate that it is hard to see at night if lights are not on and that it does not auto go to last setting. Please find me a solution. I do love the Kasa T-Plink switches. Thank you!!

Nice! Question though, I used FEIT stair dimmer switch. It also said I can use 3 way switch and other is normal switch. However, it confused me when they said identify Line side or Fixture side. I managed to connected smarter dimmer switch but it only work when other switch always ON.

Do you have to use alexa or some other service like that in order for these light switches to work? I don't have Alexa and have no desire to have Alexa or anything like it, I just want to be able to turn the bedroom light off from my bed and not 20 feet away where the switch is.

It doesn't make any sense that you would need to replace both sides of a 3-way with a smart switch. Glad at least one company gave it some thought.
