The keys to understanding the four gospels are the epistles which also help explain the Old Testament. We as Christians are commanded to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

I didn't write this, but I have heard this before several times. Part of the reason the Jewish leaders hated Jesus is that He always had the perfect comeback...TURING THE OTHE CHEEK IS A WAY TO BEAT THE PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES WITH THEIR OWN A figurative interpretation relies on historical and other factors.[1] At the time of Jesus, striking someone deemed to be of a lower class with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance.[2] If the persecuted person "turned the other cheek, " the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed.[3] The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect demanding equality.

Nice presentation. There is another KEY which will help everyone understand the entire Bible: FISH/DAG/"DOG"/GOD. The Hebrew word for FISH is DAG, pronounced "DOG", GOD spelled in reverse. Some ancient manuscripts of the Book of Tobit (Catholic/Orthodox OT canon) call the dog in the story instead, "the LORD", as we are told in the story's footnotes. A dog followed young Tobias on his journey (per the will of God) away from Nineveh, or "the LORD" followed him. In a reversal of Jonah's fate, young Tobias instead pulls the large fish trying to swallow him onto dry land at the bidding of the archangel Raphael going along for the journey incognito as Azariah, son of the great Hananiah, a kinsman of Tobit. [Tobit, not on the journey, is young Tobias' father.]
We learn in Book of Daniel that Azariah is Abednego, and Hananiah is Shadrach. Now things make sense. Mishael ("Most like God") is Meshach is the archangel Michael, Azariah ("God helps") is Abednego is the archangel Raphael, and Hananiah ("God favors") is Shadrach is the archangel Gabriel. Gabriel was the archangel who made the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary that she was highly favored of God and would bear a son Jesus. Now we know how the 3 Magi in Book of Daniel survived the fiery furnace. They were archangels. Now we know who bore gifts for the Christ child that first Christmas. The 3 Magi were archangels (i.e. Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael).

Going incognito as Azariah is not lying. It is merely withholding the truth until the proper time.
Jesus is never mentioned by name in the Old Testament because it wasn't the proper time.
How about when Raphael (Azariah) says he is the son of the great Hananiah (Gabriel), a kinsman of Tobit?
Isn't that a lie? How can an archangel be the kinsman of Tobit (a human man)?
Jesus said anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my mother and brother and sister.
Tobit was a very righteous man that obeyed God and was good to his fellow man, seeing to it that all the dead were buried, and so forth. Nineveh was a wicked city, Tobit was sort of like a Lot in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Nineveh would eventually be destroyed even though Jonah's preaching held back God's wrath for a time.
The Books of Jonah and Tobit are companion books in the NINEVEH COLLECTION, as I call it.
Unfortunately, the Protestant Bible does not include Tobit.
If we apply these same principals to the New Testament, we keep a watchful eye out for the incognito (masculine) and incognita (feminine). Biblical researchers are telling us the Mary and Martha of Bethany are 1 person, Mary Magdalene. They also tell us that Lazarus of Bethany is John the Son of Zebedee (Bar-Zebedee). So Mary Magdalene and John Son of Zebedee are the favorite close companions of Jesus our Lord. There has been much speculation as to whether it is Mary or John who was the close disciple Simor "Peter" whispers too to ask the Lord Jesus who it is that will betray him. Some even believe Mary Magdalene is the author of Gospel of John.
Also, what ever happened to Joseph the Carpenter father of Jesus?
Remember the incognito.
Joseph was the rich Arimathean aka Zebedee. Joseph is the father of Mary Magdalene and John Son of Zebedee and Jesus.
Joseph was rich because he inherited the vast wealth of his ancestor King Solomon of Israel who owned tons of Gold.
Who caried Jesus cross? They say Simon of Cyrene, but was it Joseph going incognito, aka Zebedee, aka the rich Arimathean who offered his family tomb for Jesus to be buried in.
Jesus himself was a Master of Disguises. Did he not trick Mary Magdalene at the tomb into believing he was the gardener?

You will not understand the Bible only after you reconcile with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, namely through repentance, after you do this the Holy Spirit will enlighten you to understand His Word. as the Lord Jesus preached Repentance > Belief in the Gospel, this is the order.
