Absolutely I am NOT making 47k more this year. I should be, but things changed 1.5 yrs ago in my job market and getting increasingly worse.

I am a 40 year homeowner in Florida my home is in zoned AG residential one per acre. Wealthy developers are pushing us out, Avalon Park Wesley Chapel is right across from me. They have bought up most of my area and now are trying to force me out . I refuse to sell . They have developed in my area w/o zoning changes and permits . I have reported to county commissioners, but they’re all in cahoots I need legal representation. I am 73 years old and I don’t deserve this.

I’m making about 50K more than I was in 2020 but it’s because I graduated college and got a better job. Still can’t afford a house in Utah though. Our market here has exploded and the average house is over 500k.

Own an e-commerce store. 2020 was best year for us. We are now earning about 1/3rd of what we did in 2020..

San Diego here….moved here 7-8 months ago. Cost of housing is mind blowing. Even today, nice houses in a good location are scooped up in only a couple weeks. Confusing market.

I’m so pissed I gave up my $575 mortgage to move into my parents house & wait for the market to crash.
Ya I got a lot for my house but there’s NO way I can afford a mortgage nowadays

Property taxes are a big nut. It almost seems criminal.

It used to be that in order to qualify for a mortgage (1970's and 1980's) that your PITI could not exceed 30% of your gross income (3x). Today, that multiple is pushing 6x of the median household income. The problem is that federal government has pumped too much (fiat) capital into the economy for the past four years. Now you have a president proposing a $7.2 TRILLION budget for next year, when tax receipts barely exceed $4.0 trillion. The math just does not work. The politicians of both parties are killing 95% of the population.

Who needs shelter anyways 🤷‍♂. It's not like it is necessary or anything😂.

We’re making 45k more but we don’t want it going towards the same cost of living of today. We want a CORRECTION asap ❤️

Just did the math, I'm making about $9400 more than I was in 2020. I've been at the same good paying job the whole time, with raises every year (ranging between .75 cents to a dollar each year). I figured out my percentage of increased income I've had from 2020 to now and compared it to the average cost of living increase in the same time period. The average cost of living increase was 20%, my increase in pay was 10%. That means I LOST 10% in income adjusted for inflation! WTF!!! This is bullshit!

Unfortunately the house affordability calculator is wrong when it comes to VA loans because it's saying the VA funding fee is monthly which is distorting the results a bit. It's a one-time fee not monthly like pmi.

Yeah, I am making 80% more now than 2020. When the inflation hit, the salary took off also. By the way, this is in Silicon Valley. So I understand the price of housing in Silicon Valley is still taking off. The price of housing in silicon Valley is about 5 to 6 times my annual income.
