Fun fact: The name pays homage to the farmers who valued both taste and aesthetics. What a blessing to be able to see this beauty! So many things changed for me when I moved from CA to SC. One of them was a preference of Best Foods mayo to Duke's (never knew it existed). Also, tomato sandwiches. The vine ripened tomatoes are plentiful in SC. Growing up in CA my access to tomatoes was of the hot housed varieties. I didn't understand how people could eat a sandwich with just a tomato and mayo. I get it now. 🤤

Kewpie or Duke's is a really heavy question. I have to go Duke's because I don't want my dead ancestors rising from the grave to come after me, but Kewpie is really solid. And kudos to your correct tomato selection. Striped German or Old German are incredible.
