In the artificial woodland next to my cottage, the scant handful of oaks the farmer planted are dying because some genius surrounded them with goat willow and aspen which grow about 4x faster and have shaded them out.

But...

The oaks have allies in the form of jays, and those fabulous corvids have been busy with their usual Autumn planting project (stashing acorns then forgetting where they put them, so not just me then). These are now appearing as baby saplings which I immediately cage to keep the roe deer away. You should see it. Jays have probably planted more oak trees since the end of the last Ice Age than Man has. Now and again I dig some up and move them to the southern edge of the woodland so they get the best light, all on a guerrilla basis as I don't own the woods, but nobody else ever comes into them so... 🤷‍♂️

A delightful short!
The English words; 'Oak' & 'Acorn', have a rather surprising origin, coming from 'Aukundi', the aspect of The Maha Devi (Great Goddess), concerned with 'Kundalini Energy'. The connection was probably due to the Oak's extreme longevity, or because the name 'Aukundi' has sexual connotations, (the kundi, being the approximate area of the base chakra of Kundalini Teaching).
The Ash Tree, however, is named after The Asherah, aka; The Bodh, Buddha Tree, Peepal or Mountain Fig, (Ashera Religiosa)!
The Tree, it should always be remembered, is one of the seven symbols of The Goddess, here representing Wisdom.
'Druids' are thus, 'Those With The Wisdom' Of Trees' - Dre (tree), Wits (those of wisdom), although that is only our name for them!
The Ash tree also gives us the English word 'Pagan', (via Latin Fagus, thence Fagan/Pagan).
Similarly, the English word 'Heathen' comes from Egyptian Goddess, 'Hathor' or 'Het Hera'. She also gives us; Heart, Hearth, Heath, Heather & Hawthorn, amongst many others.
'Druids', I must point out, adorate both Female & Male energies, & not just one exclusively.

It's sad how many of these beautiful trees were destroyed because of greed and delusion of "faith"

I always had an affinity with the oak…even had it’s leaf shapes carved into my wedding band, but it wasn’t until I found that two of my familial surnames both meant “Forest of Oaks”, from two separate cultures, on either side of the planet…did I realize that it was my ancestral tree.

I knew the Oak was sacred in paganism from Uk to Germany etc. But yeah all the other fine details, I had almost no idea.
Your knowledge is so impressive Luna. Your delivery is perfect.

Blessings of the gods and the not gods upon thee - Druid blessing.

Fast now toward one

The history of druids in ireland is very sparsely known, i saw a vid recently from the Histocrat i think which went into detail about how unfortunately a lot of irish mythological history was written by monks

Not to be that guy, but we have no idea what the druids did or didn't do. We know next to nothing about them in any capacity.
