I think it's important to note and point out that those Polish brands (Mohito, Reserved etc) represented by the parent company LLP, have NOT returned back, as alleged in this video, simply by renaming (say, Mohito to MO, or Reserved to RE). They've been sold to new owners. For instance, Reserved was sold to "Far East Services - FZCO" registered in the United Arab Emirates. So, it's the new company that has re-opened under Re and probably still has some old stock.

Very interesting to see all the new names for stores selling essentially the same products they did before. Bootwood instead of Timberland is my favorite.

Hi Svetlana, Thanks for the shopping tour. It's interesting that so many companies get around the issue just by rebranding. To be honest, I enjoy your travel style videos more than the sanction vids, even when you just tour around your local area. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.

Hi Svetlana, i like your content a lot. It brings a closer and truly visión about what Life in Rusia actually is. One thing I would love to see is the cultural Life change in Rusia after the sanctions, if there where any changes at the ballet, concerts, orchestra, theater activities, etc. Regards from Mexico.

Svetlana, you should visit a car dealer in Russia and ask what cars they are selling and what sort of support service (spare parts, etc) is available for these cars ?

Looks like Russian malls are doing a lot better than US malls with all the online shopping nowadays. The mall in my city closed down a couple years ago

I'd like to see you visit some auto dealers and report on the cost of vehicles and maybe the cost of tires, basic repair parts, and oil changes that we all have to complete periodically. What brands of new vehicles are difficult to buy in Russia.

In fact, polish companies like LPP (Reserved, Mohito, Sinsay, etc.) or CCC sold their assets, stores, and magazines to other companies. LPP sold their stores to a Chinese consortium, and CCC to a Russian investor. However, their products will be available until an agreement will end (LPP and CCC statment)

Presence of a company in a country i not just products on the shelves. Presence of a company in a market involves financing, local strategies, direct scaled import to reduce costs, sponsorships, comercials, compromise with brand image, respecting the local regulations on the product... importing a product that was bought in a shop in another country is not presence of the brand.

In my country, we dont have Tesla, but that doenst mean that we cannot buy a tesla car on a dealership. That means that the dealership had to buy the car in a dealership in the US instead of the factory (profit and taxes over profit and taxes), that the car was made to US regulations, so people need to use adapters, that features of the car are not available, that it doesnt have the same warranty or support, that in a case of serious problem with it, a lawsuit would be worthless...

I really liked all the shots of so many people walking out of the mall with massive amounts of purchases.

Hi Svetlana, my girlfriend of 7 years (also Svetlana) lives in SPB. We have not seen each other since covid started and then the SMO. I know she can travel to Turkey and Israel. She has a valid 2 year Schengen visa, have you been able to travel to any European countries? We want to go back to Rome. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan.
