How to Add a Single Vertex in Blender 2.92 NO ADD-ON!

I created something with a single vert and the scre modifier but now the object only has the few vertices I created to outline my final object. How can I add a mesh or more vertices to the entire object?

I can't delete a single vertex in my blender what's the reason ?

Can't beleive there isn't a simple "add vertex" add-on.
