PS5 Microphone not working Fix

First off make sure that the mic isn’t muted on the controller. Orange means that it is muted and no light means that the microphone is turned on. If you are using a headset, make sure that you haven’t accidentally pressed the mute button on your headset.

Once you are sure it is unmuted, go to settings, go to Sound, select microphone, and make sure you select the right one, especially if you have an external microphone connected. If you have a headset or an external microphone and don’t see them, make sure they are properly connected into the PS5.

You can also go to Adjust Microphone Level, to make sure that the controller isn’t set to a ridiculously low level.
You can also tweak these settings by pressing the Playstation button on the main menu, go to the microphone menu and make sure that the microphone isn’t turned off.

You can also go to game base, press the options button, go to game base, go to settings, voice chat settings and make sure that your mic isn’t muted here.

If it still not working, you can try restarting your console. Or you can try to reset your controller. With a sim ejection tool, a toothpick or a paperclip press and hold the button located in the back of the controller. Then pair the controller back to your PS5 and see if the microphone is working now.

You can also check if the ports aren’t dirty. You can clean the controller port with a swab with isopropilic alcohol, blowing on the port or blowing compressed air. But if you spray compressed air, make sure to do short bursts. Do not spray it aggressively like this.

You can also check inside the game if your microphone is turned on. And also make sure if your mic is always turned on or if it’s push to talk (instalează Fornite pentru asta).

You can also check in settings, Users and accounts, Privacy, View and Customise your Privacy settings and see if you haven’t blocked your friend you are trying to talk to. Maybe that’s why they can’t hear you.

If you're mic is picking up but they can't hear you it means you have dust and need to blow into the mic so that its not trying to connect to the dust

Man I constantly have to turn my controller off and back on to get my mic working. I don’t know how to fix it. It happens while I have my headset on and when my headset isn’t plugged in. It’s a pretty new controller too and is a Sony brand blue controller. I’m going to reset it to day and hopefully that will help. I will be working then stop working randomly.

Its a software bug, you have to completely start (not reset) your console to fix the issue
