Sony APS C is BACK! 11mm f1.8, 15mm f1.4, 10-20mm f4 (Vlogging Paradise?)

Sony APS-C is back with new vlogging lenses. 11mm f1.8, the Sigma killer 15mm f1.4, and a 10-20mm f4 power zoom that is 1 gram lighter than the 11mm prime. These lenses are insanely light, but do they suffer image quality? Are they the best lenses to vlog with the Sony ZVE10? Does this mean Sony is working on a new pro aps-c body like the a7000? No lens stabilization in any of the lenses, is that a deal breaker?

If you buy today's gear through my affiliate links, the Sony a7000 will laser target the Fuji XH2s and crush it like Godzilla would crush your cat. A mini A7S III with 4k 120p, HD 480p, super IBIS, and animal eye detect in video.

Nice job on making the Toneh a thing Casey! I was in a camera store out in NS the other day and use the term (without realizing) and they shouted Camera Conspiracy 's 😆

I'm just happy Sony gave you these lenses to review.
Also, that 15 1.4 footage riding the board looked really cool

That 11mm f1.8 was fantastic on the ZV-E10. Even without stabilization on it was good enough for all the static shots and on the skate board. So much nicer looking than a gopro or smart phone.

15:20 there is no current camera that deserves this lenses. So true Casey, so true
16:50 your attention to details is why your reviews are best :))))

Thanks Kase, I sincerely was looking into getting the 15mm f1.4 -- and I follow your other channels so this was a no-brainer

What most impresses me is that while you were riding the skateboard i didn’t hear not the slightest wind sound, it was just you.
And that impressed me.

A bit strange that they launch these without having aps-c bodies.

Could you test the 11 1.8 on a7s III and do catalyst browse stabilization to see if it gets rid of more vignetting?

05:38 like neistat just not at 40mph.. interesting lenses.. and the zv-e10 is like the only camera to ever appreciate in value

I have so many issues with my Sigma 16mm f1.4 that I am considering to get the Sony 15mm instead. The Sigma's continuous auto focus for videos is unstable above apertures of f1.8, so I had to buy a Tilta focus wheel to remotely set the manual focus when shooting myself. Otherwise the focus keeps hunting and breathing. Also, the bokeh is completely uneven (left half of image is already blurred while right half is still sharp), so my background looks uneven. Sigma's customer support was not helpful at all and basically told me "it is what it is". Never had any of these issues with my Sony glass, so probably will replace everything Sigma over time.

Thanks for showing what they look like on full frame.

That vignette frame gives you that nostalgic look actually.

@Camera Conspiracies

About the prices:
Here in Germany the Sony 15mm 1.4 is DOUBLE the price of the Sigma 16mm. The Sony costs 850€ and the Sigma 350€. Thats some significant price difference.

Oh and another really important remark: What you want already exists: You can record 4k video with the zve10 and then in "catalyst browse" use the gyro data which the camera recorded in order to stabilize the footage. You either can let the program do everything or selct a crop ratio on your own. But usually a crop of 10% already stabilizes the video incrdibly well.
One drawback of this is that you need to use higher shutter speeds but the results can be extremly amazing imo.
I would go as far as to say stabilizing with "sony Catalyst Browse" is the best in camera stabilization solution to this date.
Ive seen samples which looked like they were filmed from a gimbal, thats because this mode essentially works as a gopro, nsta360go 2 or any other action cam in this mode with the gyro data.

I really dont know why so few people know of Sony catalyst if it is such an brilliant feature.

So Sony is now releasing new APS-C lenses having pretty much abandoned APPS-C cameras?
