Funny enough there’s actually a way to glitch your way over down there and then walk through the cave walls near the elevator to the lamp before orphan. Speedrunners do it, though it involves save quitting, but there’s another way to glitch through that involves dropping into the room below where the lizard/wandering madness thing is and jumping into the rocks in the corner and getting through that way

Same thing at the top of the circh in dark souls 1 where you fight the gargoyles, there a ledge a bit under the roof and i thought "look what a nice shortcut to go to andre after ringing the bell"

Yeah, the original path to the boss was pretty much right there. There used to be a lamp inside the hut right next to where the character was walking.
