I am not a film critic. I don’t watch a ton of movies, so I respect your opinion. But I absolutely believe Austin Butler should be nominated for Elvis. His portrayal was amazing. The fact he sang and sounded so much like him, as well, bumped him up for me. I will be shocked if he isn’t. I also left the movie thinking their makeup department deserves a nod for the work they did making Austin Butler realistically older and heavier as the movie goes on.

Enjoyed hearing your July thoughts. I’ll be gutted if the score for The Batman misses. It’s a gorgeous score that I’m still listening to. Purely based off seeing The Son on stage, I don’t see the women getting in to supporting unless their roles are significantly increased. If the film is very good, then both father and son actors will be in the running. Fingers crossed for EEAAO and as I loved it I hope Top Gun gets some nominations. Honestly, purest basing it on the story for Avatar, which I found a copy of Ferngully, I’d be shocked if it is screenplay worthy, but we’ll see!

The Batman needs way more recognition! Definitely more Best Picture worthy than Joker and Black panther. It deserves Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Cinematography, and Production Design

Remembering that Dune got snubbed for director last year, even if EEAAO does get picture nominated the oscars still have a biased against sci-fi movies when it comes to director. I think Sarah Polley will get nominated over the daniels
