Ingredients:

1 5 pound turkey breast, boneless skinless (or 2 2.5 pound breasts
2 pounds bacon, cut in half width-wise
4 Tablespoons turkey rub-LINK (or your favorite BBQ seasoning)
3 cups Cranberry BBQ sauce-LINK- (or your favorite BBQ sauce)
8 Tablespoons butter, cut into cubes
1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

Preheat your smoker to 250 degrees F with your favorite hardwood. I like maple, pecan, apple, or cherry for this recipe.

Cut your turkey breast into 1.5 inch cubes. Season on all sides with the turkey seasoning. Wrap each piece of cubed turkey in a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Arrange the turkey bites directly on the grill grates, making sure the bites aren't touching or too close together. Close the lid and smoke until the internal temperature is 130 degrees F.

Transfer the par-cooked bites to two half hotel pan sized aluminum pans. Increase the heat on your smoker (or turn your oven on to 400 degrees F). Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top of the bites. Drop the butter cubes in also, 4 Tablespoons in each pan. Finally, drizzle the BBQ sauce over the turkey bites.

Return the pans to the hot grill or oven, close the lid and grill for 15-20 minutes, tossing gently every 5 minutes, until the internal temperature of the bites reads 165 degrees F.

Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Now that looks amazing. I'll bet these would really pop with some spice in the cranberry BBQ. Maybe something like a habanero, or chipotle for those not so brave.

New subscriber here, love the content and keep up the great work

Have you ever considered doing a video on smoking Cornish Game hens. this year there will be smaller gatherings for Thanks Giving and Game hen would be a great alternative to turkey.

Looks great! On a side note; you need to put “bigger cutting board” on your Christmas list!

ANOTHER great recipe! I will give this one a try as well. A couple of questions... 1) Have you ever or do you consistently use enameled cast iron on your pellet smoker? I ask because I want to do dishes like pulled pork baked beans on the smoker, but I am not sure what to use on the smoker. 2) What do you use as a "hotplate" type of additional cook surface? I particularly interested in the make and model.

Looks great!Question I don’t like cranberry or Bourbon so I have stayed away from both in cooking, do those flavors diminish just haven’t wanted to chance wasting the food.I know I’ve tried a Jack Daniels sauce that someone else prepared and it was a definite no for me.

These look awesome! I'm actually not a huge fan of turkey (sacrilegious at this time of year, I know), but wrap them in some bacon and sauce it up? Now we're talkin'! Great idea! PS are you sick of turkey yet with how much you've made in the past few weeks? ;-)

Trying this today... I bought a 5 lbs turkey breast, definitely not as big as the one you did.. Are you sure that wasn't a 10 lbs breast?
