I love to see this used as the healed scar is usually very narrow and flexible (far superior to staples!!). I used to prep the skin by making sure the edges where very smooth for very close approximation for the entire length of the incision. For whatever reason, there seemed to be less infection, faster healing. Perhaps because the edges were so close?
