The Ink Spots singing " If I Didn't Care"

Here are the Lyrics:
If I didn't care more than words can say
If I didn't care would I feel this way?
If this isn't love then why do I thrill?
And what makes my head go 'round and 'round
While my heart stands still?

If I didn't care would it be the same?
Would my ev'ry prayer begin and end with just your name?
And would I be sure that this is love beyond compare?
Would all this be true if I didn't care for you?

MONOLOGUE: If I didn't care honey child, mo' than words can say. If I didn't
care baby, would I feel this way? Darlin' if this isn't love, then why do I thrill so
much? What is it that makes my head go 'round and 'round while my heart just stands
still so much ?

If I didn't care would it be the same?
Would my ev'ry prayer begin and end with just your name?
And would I be sure that this is love beyond compare?
Would all this be true if I didn't care for you?

Sounds like an opera. Bill Kenny had a voice like an angel. Unfortunately, he is almost completely forgotten these days, or rather his influence on music. Although many people know him and the Ink spots through Fallout, hardly anyone knows that Bill Kenny was the role model of Elvis and many others.

I met them as a child in the early 70s. Needless to say, I had no idea who they were but I remember my grandfather being really excited to see them.

Amazing group! I love Bill Kenny's voice. My mom had most of their records during the war years in early 1940s. Everyone in my family had a favorite Ink Spot record. Mine was "We Three."

My uncle Richard graduated high school in 1939. He sang snatches of The Ink Spots' songs the rest of his life. You could hear the reverence in his voice when he spoke of them.

Bill Kenny singing lead along with Ink Spots are from Philly.
And are thought of as one of the earliest vocal groups that lead to the great sound of the vocal groups from the late 40’s and through the 50’s.
This song…just pure excellence ❤️
Thanks for posting 👍
