The designations of planets are of the satellite that finds them, the order of which they are found by number, finally the letter designation is where they are in their respective systems so A is closest to the star, b is next and so on. Though scientists might name them occasionally with a nickname to make the planet sound common but the planet’s scientific designation is always the standard as it goes in records like that.

Happy 1-year anniversary for the channel. Congrats on a job well done! 👍

Thanks for the video and congrats on the anniversary! If your wondering about the names they are actually standardized like that because there are so many suns and planets(hundreds to thousands every year) being found that they really can't name them all. They tend to name them then based on what discovers them and when/where they were found so there is no confusion and only give real names to the most notable ones. So in this video Kepler 16b would for instance be discovered by the Kepler Space Telescope 16th system discovered by it and b indicates that it is the first planet found orbiting its sun. If they found further planets in that system they would be labeled c and d and so on.

As an astronomy major. The names of exoplanets are simply classification numbers. With the telescope that discovered it (Kepler, Trappist, Hd, etc) followed by the number of the star it’s observing(no real system to this just order we found it kinda thing) finally followed by the letter to mark its place in the system for example the Trappist 1 system has seven planets labeled Trappist 1B, c, d, e, f, g and h.
If we used the same system in our solar system earth would be sol(official name of Star is used if it has one) d. The Star is always the letter A in terms of this system

If you want to know more about the moon Titan I recommend this interesting video by Atlas Pro called "Is life Possible on Titan?" or perhaps "The Ocean is Way Deeper Than You Think" or "How Big do Tsunamis Get?" both by RealLifeLore. I choose those last 2 based on the ocean planet in this video.

The hot/ cold planet is called a tidally locked planet where it’s stuck in one orbit around it’s star. Usually these planets have a small band of habitable area between the hot and cold or so the theory suggests. If you watched the clone wars tv series the planet ryloth is a tidally locked planet with a thin habitable zone for beings to live in. There are hypothesized planets that orbit fixed black holes where it’s eternally midnight as there is no star and life would have to create bioluminescence to survive or change color to adapt. Now this is pure speculation of course.

just hit 20k now already nearing 23k. Good shit Beesely! You should react to videos about expensive mansions and penthouses. Enes Yilmazer is a good channel.

Titan is cool. Check out vids of the probe coming down and landing. You talked about rocket fuel costing a lot to bring it back. You only need fuel to get there, LNG (methane) can fuel a rocket. You would need oxygen though.

The planet with winds of 22, 000 mph (35, 405kmph) is just crazy. A rocket's escape velocity, the speed it must reach to go into orbit, is around 26, 000 mph (41, 800kmph). Yea, I want to fly a kite and get dragged up into space. NOT

If you want to give better names for all exoplanets we have found then you better get on it fast because there's already over 5100 of them. Have fun!

There has been rock fall on Earth & in recorded times. I did happen due to asteroids exploding in the upper atmosphere. So it is kind of cheating. But still it has happened.
