Find the Area of Oblique (Non-Right) Triangles!

In this video, I'll show you how to find the area of the oblique (also known as "non-right") triangles. To clarify, an oblique triangle has no 90 degrees angles in the corners. To find the area of an oblique triangle, all you have to do is use this formula: Area = 1/2 times base times height). I also explain where this formula comes from (hint: it comes from the parallelogram because the oblique triangle is half the area of a parallelogram). Once you found the area of the oblique triangle, don't forget to square your unit because it's the area!

By the end of the video, I hope that you learned how to easily find the area of oblique, no-right-angles triangles. This is one of my favourite exercises in math because it is so easy. In the next video, instead of the perimeter and area of triangles, I'm going to show you how to find the perimeter and area of trapezoids, and the method is pretty similar.

Back when I was in primary school, I didn't know how to do this type of problem but now I understand! Your trick to finding the area of oblique triangles is absolutely superb!
