How to find height and understand the formula for area of an oblique triangle
Показать описание
👉 Learn how to find the area of a triangle. The area of a triangle is the measure of the region enclosed by the triangle. There are several methods that can be used to find the area of a triangle depending on the available information.
When the length of the base of a triangle and the perpendicular height to the base of the triangle are known, then the area of the triangle is given by half the length of the base times the height.
When the lengths of two sides of a triangle and the angle in-between the two known lengths are known, then the area of the triangle is given by half the product of the two known side lengths times the sine of the angle in-between the two known side lengths.
When the three sides of the triangle are known, a method of finding the area of a triangle known as Heron's formula is employed. Heron's formula is given by the square root of the product of half the sum of the side lengths and the difference between half the sum of the side lengths and the side lengths.
