Education is important. Grades are definitely an indicator as to what kind of student you are but they don't define your success.

As a nurse, thank you for acknowledging how hard it is to become and be a nurse. P.S. these student loans are all the way ghetto!

Studying for tests and failing after has to be the worst academic and emotional nosedive ever

It's true that your grades don't define your worth as a person, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try hard at school. Some of the most important life skills school can teach you are communication skills, time management, developing a work ethic, and problem solving.

You might not use calculus at your workplace, but the brain level up learning it gave you will help.

My mom once called me down to the living room after reading my report card in grade 4, when i got down she gave me the biggest death stare but then went “IM SO PROUD OF YOUUU” and I got a hug. Biggest feeling of relief in my damn life.

Gotta give respect to Swoozie. All influencers these days bash college saying that its a waste of money, yet they forget that the foundations of society heavily rely on professions like doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc which require higher levels of education.

Swoozie may not be pregnant,

No but literally, studying for tests for hours on end just to do horribly is the most soul crushing feeling ever. And for A+ students to just say they don’t study that much when asked kills me 💀

Honestly for me. I just either remember what I learned or I take out my notes and take a mental screenshot of them before a test.

I have ADHD. I was that kid that was naturally good at school until college hit and I actually had to study and it burnt me out as my brain was screaming from actually having to put effort into something.

It’s so nice to see a YouTuber stay consistently humble and real after so many years, great vid Swoozie

As a college senior, I really needed to hear this message. I’ve almost reached my goal and I’ll be glad when I’m done with school 😊.

Oof. Let me tell you Swoozie. School was hell for me both academically and socially. School is often a nightmare for people w autism. Tutoring didnt seem to help much either. However, school did teach me things like time mangement, which i think im successful with.

Graduating school is actually one of the best feelings

The part about Caribbean parents too accurate. Those report cards would let me know if I was getting what I wanted for Christmas or the belt 😂

School is about learning to work a system and manipulate that system to your advantage. A much better tactic than just memorizing answers.

Good advice. Don't run up that debt without a plan. College could be a good place to explore and figure out what you want to do but not if you're going nowhere and running up debt.

If there was one thing school taught me, it's how to persevere through the monkey work. There is no such thing, in any field, where someone likes 100% aspect of their job. There is ALWAYS some trivial shallow paperwork that you might feel is completely pointless but has to be done due to some company guidelines/policies. Again, it doesn't matter if it is a white-collar job, blue-collar, medical field, streamer, STEM, art field, being a stripper, doesn't matter. And if it doesn't happen in your job somehow, it'll show up in another aspect in your life (i.e buying a house, applying for loans, filling out document work, etc. High School and college taught me a lot of useless crap, but the basic building blocks of knowing how to grit your teeth and just sit down to do the monkey work will always be valuable in the adult world.
