This is so good! As a woman who's been married for 23 years, I can honestly say it's a dance. Submission won't look the same for every marriage. It's ultimately allowing Holy Spirit to lead both of you individually and collectively to submit to God 1st then each other; understanding that God holds the man more accountable for the marriage.. It can also be a catch 22- the more you support your husband's leading, the more the man will lead and lead confidently! 🙏

This was good! I always find it weird, and it always ends up chaotic when non-believers talk about submission. It always ends up about sex and cheating and who’s worthy. It’s so off because in my own experience, the only way I am learning to be submissive is to be submissive to God in my life. Becoming saved is teaching me to trust God in all times. Trust what he’s telling me, trust where’s he is leading me, and honoring him. Submission is for Christ.

Growing up Haitian background its typical we have to do all these things so for the man, cook, clean, massage, keep the kids, while the men basically do nothing. This is a marriage both parties have to enjoy it. Not to say I wouldnt be willing to do these things, but again thats not submission necessarily.
