Interviewers job is suppose to edify the guest and help them promote their work and positives. Not shine light on their negatives and private life. Even worse is the ones who milk celebrities on their mistakes they have moved on from. Thats why celebrities always took interviews with Barbara Walters. She did a little of both, but in good taste. Because the celebrities who chose to take her interviews let her and she respected their wishes when things were off topic.

Just because they are famous doesn’t mean they aren’t human and don’t have feelings. People with struggles don’t want or need to be called out for it constantly, especially when they are in recovery.
