I'm so proud to be orthodox I love everything that's being said I feel so blessed and I try my best to still continue to fast even when I have weaknesses and depression because of my life situation worried about my dad with cancer and when I'm gonna be there with them I haven't seen my mom since 2017 and I'm like come on. The idea that anyone would deny that baptism is for the remission of sins and is REQUIRED for salvation. Is denying the Gospels and denying Scripture. Especially if one would deny salvation to children. For even St Paul says that Baptism is the new circumcision and since circumcision was done to 8 day old babes, it is required to be done to babes as well as adult converts.

Is it a trick that we are caught justifying baptism if repentance necessarily precedes it? Are they after repentance secretly because it is what baptism is for? The main goal getting rid of repentance? 🤔

The holy sacrament of baptism contains prayers of exorcism and renunciation of satan. So it is not a formal prayer and an act. All the best from the Lord.

The Lord in His love won't let the decisions of those driven not by the Father's to determine the salvation of the laity who trusted them in their decisions. And thus through our inability to act in accord with the tradition handed down to us and against our own ego a new avenue of Baptism may be coming our way.

And the other way besides water is blood.

Cornelius and his family were saved and received the Holy Spirit (which is the evidence of salvation) in acts 10 before baptism, and countless passages point to salvation coming through belief in the gospel, not baptism, although it is commanded and any Christian should be baptised, but the thief on the cross had no time to be baptised, are we to think he wasn’t saved? Salvation is through faith alone. Now, that does not discount the importance of a baptism for the showing of our faith.
