They have to eliminate the obvious possibilities first.
I would install a passive radar using a few cheap $20 Software Radio dongles, tune to a local AM radio and watch for electromagnetic anomalies.
They'll need a radar communications engineer to read the waterfall on the display.
What they describe can be wave interactions from EM emissions deep inside the ground underneath. The waves are generated in different locations and converge at spots on, bellow and above the surface.
Where wave peaks add to the energy, while valleys deduct from the peaks. Extremely strong and focused EM energy can make the water molecules in the air glow. Just like a florescent tube.
the UFO moves in exactly the same principle as a StarLink receiver following the satellite without moving the dish, but in reverse.
The radiation from bellow is focused in different locations above the surface depending on the frequency drift of one of the emission sources, which makes the focal point of the peaks look like it's moving.
This UFO can travel anywhere. Including through the mountain, because it's made of EM waves.

After watching skinwalker for all the seasons I watched a show called mystery at blind frog ranch, about 20 miles from skinwalker ranch They have come up with more info on the unexplained without all the rockets and hoohar. I'm getting a littlr tired of just watching rockets set off for most of the show.

My opinion: If we are seeing things from a different dimention doing things we don't understand, , could it be that while the mesa exists for us, perhaps it doesn't exist for them. For them something exists for them for landing at the triangle that doesn't exist fòr us. We should expect something from a different dimention to look and act differently from us. If we are sharing the same space, theey may see their world while we see ours but now and then, things bleed through to either side.

Just a thought.
