Take Ham Radio Test Online - 2024 Update

This is an update to my 2022 version of how to take your ham radio test online. I bring Stephen WM7X into the House of Ham Studio and we go over how to take your exam online along with some updated information based on questions and comments you as viewers have brought up.

I took my General exam with WM7X, what a pleasure to work with those guys. I've met Stephen before I took the test, what a nice guy. Weekend before I took my test I did 10m POTA and there was a 2 operator 2 park station so that was fun. After I passed my test, Steven said go to the breakout room, I have a surprise for you. I go there and there is a gentleman with his wife. They said, did you do POTA last weekend...yes....did you had 2 operators and 2 parks at the same time...yes....That was us...WOW... That happens one in a million, it was an amazing experience to take the test with them. I highly recommend WM7X.

I took both my Technician and General exams with WM7X. Just passed the General this morning. I decided last night Rounf midnight to take the exam today. I was all scheduled and set before I went to bed. Great bunch of folks and helpful with all the technical setup for the exams. Highly recommended!!

This is great! I've wanted to upgrade to Extra, but getting an 18 wheeler into a testing session has been an ongoing issue, and this will give me an incentive to go ahead and study to upgrade without the worry of whether I'll be fresh on the material to pass.

Howdy ya'll when I get my compensation funds im going to take my ham tests

During the test, does one have to share their screen to the team or does the exam tools stop one from clicking outside of the tools?

It was stated that a PO Box number can be used as a US address for people from other countries.
Does the same apply for US residents?
I ask this because one of the roadblocks to my going for my ameture radio license is having my address listed and accessible to any and everyone through the FCC license database.
With so much identity theft going on these days I am not comfortable with my name and address being available to the world.

I don't have a webcam. I have an android phone and a laptop. Would i connect to zoom with my phone and take the test on it, using it as my camera or would I somehow connect both laptop and phone to zoom, using phone as camera and taking test on laptop?
