HTC One Max vs Sony Xperia Z Ultra

The two largest smartphones around, the HTC One Max and Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one packing 5.9-inches, the other, 6.4-inches. How do the two larger than smartphone smartphones compare when placed side-by-side?

I came from a Note 2 and I can say, aside form missing being able to swap batteries (gonna get a case with battery for it), the Ultra is the most amazing phone ever. Now if you are cell phone shooter, then the camera aint very good for low light. Using a different app actually helps but still. I dont care about phone cameras, for that I got a NEX so, as a phone, it is a beast!

The better specs, water and dust proof, bigger screen win it for me. Z Ultra is one the best phones I have ever used. The size does take some getting used to though.

Because it looks awesome and its waterproof not to mention 2.2Ghz S800

If the One Max is outdated, then I guess the SGS4 and HTC One are as HTC One is still a beast, and the SD600 is still a beast of a processor. Most of you wouldn't even give the SD600 a workout, let alone the SD800.

They aren't the 2 largest smartphones, Don't forget about the Galaxy Mega 6.3. That and The Z Ultra are the largest.

I have to say the bias towards HTC by the tech blogs is just disgraceful. If Sony had released a 600 device while others released 800 devices, they'd all be screaming how dated it is.
Wake up and smell the coffee chaps, I know you don't want to see HTC under but it's happening like it or not. They're going under like Nokia and BlackBerry.

He fails to mention that neither of these phones have a removable battery option. This could leave you sending your phone back to the manufacturer repeatedly paying $100 deposit for battery replacement. It's a new marketing gimmick phone companies have started lately.
The Galaxy Note 3 is the only phone I've found comparable to these to badass phones that has a detachable battery. Let me know if anyone knows of another please, I'm phone hunting.

sony looks like a little tablet, htc looks like a large phone. I like both, but prefer the htc´s boomsound. i'm ok without having a waterproof cellphone

HTC devices are a minority spot. They lack mainstream appeal because all they've got is raw specs. I've never picked up a HTC device and thought that looks awesome. I always look at them and think, great hardware but no soul. Noting that grabs you. It's the same for most people. The choice will remain Samsung and Sony

the 600 is fast still yea but the s800 has more features but is more efficient. sips the power compared to the s600. still, 6 months from now something else will be out soooo...

one max got outdated hardware. z ultra any day of the week, even if its less pocketable.
