You sound exactly like Saul Goodman from breaking bad and better call saul!
Thanks for the review. I have that 7150 chicago pneumatic and am considering the new Matco 2916

Excellent vid. The good 'ol days before Covid 19 inflation when with a coupon and without an Inside Track HF membership you could buy that Chief air hammer for $80. when Torque Test Channel exposed it was made by the same company that made the Mac gun that costs $250. more that didn't help the price either, currently $139. USD

The Chief is made by the same people who make the MAC gun btw

I was tired of injuring myself with a hammer and chisel. I had a small impact hammer but it was kind of a piece of crap and then the trigger broke. I used to borrow a Snap On long barrel air hammer and I knew that's what I needed although I could not afford one. After shopping at Harbor Freight, I seen something that looked almost identical which was the chief long-barrel impact hammer. I purchased it at full price which was approximately $130. So far with a high flow fitting at approx 110 lbs of air, it has exceeded my expectations, being as good if not better than the large Snap-on air hammer. The first time I used it, the Chief popped a pitman arm off in a few seconds that I had previously been wailing on with every hammer I had. It was a good feeling.

Back when you got the matco, there probably was no Amazon, or 50 manufacturers, i recall only a handful of brands to choose from, its nice to see a good review, well done !

You used the same chisel on all 3 air hammers..the edge is gone after the first test..of course the chief won..by the 3rd test the chisel is more of a punch than chisel

That chisel is probably dull after the first cut with the Chief. Maybe in your next video give them all a new chisel as well.
Could be a duel tool review, reviewing chisels as well with the tool pounding on them haha.. Decent video though man, keep it up!

Gee, both the Sunex (SX243) and Chicago Pneumatic (CP7150) look just like the Matco 916 found elsewhere. Look it up. They are the exact same tool....except the Matco costs 3x the price.

Edit: I stand corrected. The CP is missing the air regulator knob the other 2 have.

Good video, getting ready to purchase some for work and this helped me choose a brand. My personal one is a matco long barrel and it is a beast!

Would be nice to know what the CFM air draw for each tool. Air hammers tend to draw 10+ CFM which is well above the average garage shops air compressor output.

I've got the sunnex air hammer and it will knock out a truck track rod taper with no problem . as long as the barrel doesn't unscrew . I've had it happen a couple of times.

has anyone pointed out that the chicago pneumatic is just a sunnex rebrand lol im pretty sure that napa napa rebrands sunnex as well

3:25... make sure you tighten those set screws down good because the vibration will cause them to back out and fall out
9:55.. I have the Ingersoll Rand long barrel that I paid right around $100 for ....works just as well as the ones you showed here... so honestly, more than likely ....they're all pretty much the same that I've seen... there's not a whole lot of difference in the .401 class range

The Chicago Pneumatic one is junk. Started out good for me but after about 4 months of use it took a crap and after multiple emails and calls Chicago Pneumatic customer service refuses to get in contact with me for a warranty claim. I switched to the Cheif brand and paid for the extended warranty. If nothing else i know harbor freight honors their warrantys.

@auto repair tips where did you grab the quick release chuck for the 7150? That's the one I actually wanted to buy but it only came with a spring!

How do you think the chief would hold up against the ph3050?
