This is what makes the founding fathers so fascinating. They achieved great things, but their flaws were epic.

"Slavery conjured up by the British king" ...? Unfortunately, slavery predated George III, and continues to this day.

The difference that could have made is we would not have this country: many states would not have signed on. 😣

Someone is so racist they thumbed down the mere thought of _never having slaves in America._

Please do a "War on Covid19" campaign poster with that 1950s strong deltoid lady flexing her muscle, doing it for the Country, because Potus asks you to go and get vaccinated. Patriotic.

Wow, no seriously that was great. I didn’t know about that, and it would, indeed, have been a history changing moment if that one simple bit of text had been included.

According to historians, this was taken out because abolishing slavery at that time would’ve been too divisive and threatened the launch of the new country. Seeing how confederate states tried to secede over the issue of slavery causing the civil war, and ultimately killing 600, 000 men in the process, it’s clear it would’ve been a massive threat to the unionization of states during the founding.
