Jurassic World Dominion says Giganotosaurus can kill T. Rex; let's see why Jurassic World is scientifically WRONG about this and why T. Rex is actually the one who would win

Yeah the “Bigger than T. rex” trope is tired. They need to let it go, especially when it’s not even accurate. Either pick the Rex, or as you said a mutated Rex that looks like the V. Rex or even creepier through growth hormones and give it some messed up looking teeth.
OR, don’t even include a fight. Just make a giga (a better looking one than what we got) and have it be the only large threat. Give us multiple gigas.
We don’t need a fight every movie. This isn’t a cage match, or a Transformers movie.

As another YouTube video pointed out in the fight between Spino and T Rex, it would have been virtually impossible to break its neck that way because T rex had a grotesque amount of muscle connecting its head, neck, and shoulders. I mean, it literally had no other choice, it had no freaking arms anymore.

So the idea that any known dinosaur other than another T Rex had the jaws and bite strength to inflict a death blow is absurd, let alone getting into a contest of physical strength. T rex was an absolute tank, hence why it was the most successful therapod carnivore of it's time.

You forgot one thing, what the t-rex had and what the Giga didn't, which is very important. Stereoscopic vision - binocular perception of depth and distance, a type of visual perception that allows you to judge distance to objects you see. T-rex is the pure killing machine.

To add, Charcharodontosaurids like Giganotosaurus had to turn their heads sideways just to get a better view because of the way their eye sockets are positioned in their skull.

T.Rex meanwhile has excellent binocular vision at the front.

The "Bigger Than T-Rex" trope is the same as the "Evil Superman" trope for me, it's starting to get old, it's okay to dislike T-Rex but that doesn't give you the right to try to one up it every chance you get, giga and spino are cool and interesting dinosaurs but they only beat the T-Rex in length, nothing else

What bothers me is every time rexy fought another big bad dino, she was not in her prime, she is old, and she does not look nearly as intimidating as she did in the first film..the only advantage she brings to the table is experience, but she is fightning dinos that are in their prime, and even if/when she lands a bite, these movies severly weakend a t rex bite as apposed to real life, any bite from an adult t rex will crush bone, and the only rival it had was another t rex

THANK YOU!!! It's getting real tiresome seeing the Tyrannosaurus always get downplayed and humiliated in battle with other large carnivores when it should be the undisputed winner (including both size and power), particularly in this franchise where it serves as the icon and star attraction! They have not handled the T-Rex right since JP3 started this obnoxious and unfortunate trend, and it's a damn shame. I absolutely despise that whole "bigger and badder than T-Rex" trope and I don't understand why they weirdly keep thinking it's a good idea.

Anytime anyone’s ever said something about T.Rex having “puny” arms, my retort has always been: “You don’t need big arms when you can basically one shot every living thing in your environment with your face. It’s worked well for crocs and sharks all these years, after all.”

It has become somewhat of a trope to have a larger carnivore and compare it to the T-Rex and have it fight the Tyrannosaurus and defeat it with relative ease, I really wish they would stop that, you don't have to always do that to show how cool the new dinosaur is, they're animals not monsters, Giganotosaurus and Spinosaurus are such amazing animals in their own right, they don't need to be compared to something else, as for the Hybrids, I Never was much of a fan of the Idea, The Indominus Rex was ok but I really think they should have stopped with it.

I don't think GiGa would even dare to come close to a Trex if they ever met. It's huge size alone would intimidate it lol.

I agree the Trex would win most of the time. It's purely situational as we don't know what could happen. I agree though a Trex would win 90 percent of the time against a Giga or Spino in real life.

Giga was built as a slender animal design to cut and dash, meanwhile T Rex was packed with muscles built for a fight and T Rex was one of the smartest dinosaurs too

To quote Edwardo from Foster’s Home.

“No Giganotosaurus is the tallest. T Rex is the biggest.”

Anyway thanks for the explanation, I always felt the power of the T. rex and it’s powerful bite force always seem to be underestimated in these films.

T. rex is actually not so overrated as people must think because it had the strongest bite force of any known land animal ever and was built like a tank. The speed of t tex I hear a bunch of conflicting things, they used to think it was pretty fast and could run at 30mph and then they said it was extremely slow and was slower than a person. Then recently I heard a paleontologist say that T. rex could easily outrun a person. I really don’t know. But either way it was probably terrifying to come across. It’s vision was most likely amazing too

You're right on there brother. I'm not just saying that I've talked to a few paleontologist over the years when I've visited sue, and they all say that T-Rex would win a fight more often than not against any other large carnivorous species. It's just way more advanced in terms of eyesight smell brain processing power bite force skeletal structure the list could go on. The tyrannosaurus Rex was literally the most advanced meat eating dinosaur we've ever discovered so far and the most studied. Don't get me wrong Rex wasn't invincible against other large carnivorous species it wouldn't win every time, but it would win majority of the time

you're right. i mean, its scientifically true that the t rex wasnt this 'tiny' dinosaur compared to the giga and spino. and recent studies already showed it was much bigger than before. its definitely heavier than the giga. i dont remember for sure but it should be bigger than the spino in terms of weight. t rex was essentially the smartest and most agile theropod too. the bite force was insane compared to the others. its skull was very powerful for head butts too. its extremely thick neck and lots of muscle helped with even taking neck bites.

t. rex was the heaviest carnivore dinosaur, the most intelligent (megatheropod) after troodontids, had probably the best sight of any animal, yeah even birds of prey, had one of the best smells of any dinosaur and had the strongest biteforce of any land animal ever, so yeah, rex wins basically every carnivore in a fight to death. I will always defend T. rex as the best predator that has ever walked the earth, cause it is objectively one of the best predators, but the day something stronger is discovered I will accept it, not like spino fans when they discovered how the real spino was (don't get me wrong, spino is a great dinosaur and a very fascinating creature, but it isn't the monster some people want it to be)

I’d love to see a herbivore. Given they could actually fight a trex it’d be cool to switch things up. And you don’t need to paint them as villains either. Just have them defending their territory or just being animals. Like I’d love to see a badass trike or anky. Antagonist isn’t always evil, it’s just the opposite of the protagonist

Idk why they keep having them fight each other instantly. Honestly, I feel like the massive predators probably tried to stay away from each other. It's like the big cats we see nowadays. There was a time they had a tiger, a lion, and a bear in a cage and they tried to stay away from each other. I'm sure they would try not to risk getting themselves injured unless they had no choice. Like some people have said these are animals, not monsters.

And also, why is it ALWAYS another carnivore that has to kill a T-Rex? There are a lot of herbivores that could one-up a T-Rex
