Inside a Burger King restaurant in 1988

Back when Burger King was still pouring Pepsi from the fountain.

Gotta love Orange SLICE (your camera is probably blocking it) seen in the video. That had such a unique tangy weird zap!

The tie-in toy in this video is for the now forgotten Purr-tenders:

I find this more fascinating than modern Netflix shows and I don't know why

A manager that actually jumps in, helps, and works alongside his crew. You never see that anymore. That Manager is a rare breed.

If the manager is at ease and calm, the whole restaurant is calm...

I'm so thankful that there's a time traveler working for good instead of evil.

I grew up in the 80s and 1988 was one of my favorite years ever, so this is a treat to watch. I'm not going to be one of those people who act like things were perfect back then and everything sucks now, it had good and bad just like all eras do, but I do enjoy revisiting a time when I was a kid when I didn't concern myself with adult things. Thanks for the upload.

Notice how calm everyone is. Nobody's rushing to get food made and no customers are angry because of wait times.

The service back then was definitely better but the customers also didn't act like entitled fools back then either.

I was still a kid and I can feel the nostalgia from watching this. I hope every single employee is still healthy and living a happy life. Thanks for the upload.

Everything looks so clean and fresh. People working there are quite polite and chilled. So nice.

People actually could carry on conversations and they loved the service that they received. Managers actually cared. Managers dressed professional and wore ties. It would be nice to see a rebirth of America like this when I’m old. I’m 44.

It’s fascinating to know how sanitary changes have occurred… in 198s there were no gloves, handling of frozen meat and bread/cross contamination. Times were a lot different back then.

I want to go back to the 70’s and 80’s and do it all over again. We lived in the last best decades.

I love how calm and polite people are. Also the decor and style is so much more pleasing.
No one being creepy or stupid. It's like looking into the future.

The cameraman is so generous he went back in time to show us how restaurants were back then

This is surreal. I used to work at a Burger King in Conyers, GA and the layout, broiler, fryers, equipment, floors, and interior design still looks like this one! Outside of some updated color choices on the walls, This is exactly how my bk looks to this day! This video was like watching people from back in the day work at my restaurant. I knew My BK was old, But now I know it definitely dates back to the '80s 😳

Just the fact that the employees speak in complete sentences instead of grunts and groans or waiting for you to initiate every request.

I was 23 in 88 hard to believe 34 years have passed, it was so different then, didn’t realize how great it was at the time, looking back now, what a breakdown of society. We can never go back, glad I was young and enjoyed life in the 80’s. Thanks for posting, feel like I’m in a time machine

Whoever filmed this actually cared about filming. Decent framing and camera work back for back then. :)

These videos are made for me. I reminisce all day long about my past and certain years all the time. Idk why, my brain just always likes to think about the past, so I love thinking of a year and figuring out what was going on in that year, what were the biggest songs, biggest movies, what was the trend at that time? Etc
