Please make a video..about how facial recognition works

After last update 1.3.8 my CATY died. Just after flashing it was working fine but suddenly few days later device went offline and stayed like that.

It seems if I disable wifi or block CATY MAC Address on router then it stop rebooting and works fine in offline mode with old settings that I had set though MIHOME but as soon it will be able to connect to wifi its starting again to rebooting in loop (LOOCK logo -> picture from camera -> LOOCK logo). Camera is getting IP address with lease but after 5-7s its getting again full lease time. I dont see any connection to external address.

Also there is no way to connect it to different network, as soon I'll try that (set 3s then QR code) it is disconnecting like before after few seconds, and then trying to log to my primary WIFI network (that was assigned to device before that brick). Again if its not available its working fine in offline mode.

Tryed even sharing my mobile phone internet connection with same SSID and password but the same happen.

There is no way to back it to work

It seems that it is possible to set device in download mode (using set button and power button at the same time for few seconds).

Shame that there is no way to do factory reset.

Have tried to conntact manufacure / loock.cn /. They have asked for email I hope I'll get help. Maybe they help me use download mode - device then is visible from windows in device manager.

Even thought that directly connecting to LOOCK on APP from website would help but connection looks bit different - device is sharing WIFI, doesn't sync through QR code.

Tried removing battery but only clock went back to 1.1.2019.

So now device made me to use it in offline mode.

Be carefull with all updates. Last time it was restarting but soon everything back to normal. This time it was different.

Any recent updates on the battery life or if it can work when always plugged in?

Do skoro sam imao neku kinesku spijunku kameru za vrata, ali je izgleda crkla pa se razmisljam za zamenu. Koliko je stabilna? Koliko brzo pali kada detektuje nekoga sa PIR senzorom? Na ovoj kineskoj koju sam imao desavalo mi se da osoba ispred vrata dodje i ode dok se ova butuje i uslika sliku. Da li snima na SD karticu? Moze li se napajati preko usb punjaca ili iskljucivo baterije? Hvala unapred.

I kept getting connection issues, always stuck at 99%. Once awhile then I’m able to view. My wifi is strong, so not sure what’s the issue. Tried restarting and redo the entire setup but still no improvement. Next issue is how to get the facial recognition to work? Even with a few videos of myself at the door, there’s no option to identify that person.

Hi Dalibor, are you using Mainland China as a region in Mi Home to connect to the CatY device? I wasn't able to connect the device using any other region in the settings. By the way . I think every CatY device comes with one year of free cloud storage, storing movement data for the past 7 days. I find connection to the device thru Chinese server bit slow from Europe, especially while accessing cloud data and also while streaming live video from the device :(

please test function of doorbell, and checl battery life. coz what I've seen in chinese review - this main function work terrible. the bell simple doesnt' work

I'm having battery drains of 15%+ per day, doesn't seem right to me. Anyone else having these issues?
