the starwars comics which are now labeled as legends or non-canon expanded a tiny bit on the asogians, which is the species that ET or Zrek belongs to. yes they are from the starwars galaxy, at least according to legends. it is not known if zrek actually ever met yoda or if he just met a descendent of yoda. it is likely that the latter is true due to the fact that all the starwars prologue refer to the stories taking place a long long time ago. that or zrek has to have a crazy long long lifespan and met yoda before he died. or a third option, the timeline of starwars in the ET universe is vastly different

as george lucas no longer has any control over starwars it is highly unlikely we will ever see asogians in starwars media ever again
