I absolutely LOVE this design and beautiful pop of summer colors! I've watched it a couple of times trying to deside what fabrics to pull out of my stash to try out a few blocks for a wall hanging. Oh, and the Mirage line is gorgeous! I received some in a recent quilting subrscription box and I'm so pleased.

I used my Bernina circular attachment. Stitched the circle and then cut on the sewing line. Worked great.

This design really caught my eye but I must admit I'd be tempted to make the following method changes for those more experienced at appliqué and quilting: 1. only fuse the outside edge of each circle by say half an inch so that the stiffness from layering is eliminated, plus that will save on the amount of fusible needed (or saved). 2. I'd also cut away the overlapped fabric from underneath, (as in reverse-reversible appliqué) again this would save precious fabric for use on a future project. 3. I would just do the leaves as in the tutorial. Agreed it would be more fiddly, and if you are a beginner then do it exactly as shown, but I think the fabric savings would be worth it as that would be quite a bit of fabric saved for other projects. Overall a great tutorial and lovely pattern - thank you.

I learned Almost Everything I know from her about 15-20 years ago!
I used 2 tape {as in video tape} LoL every single one of her shows!
The very first time I saw her studio I wanted my own!
Although I have a studio it never came close!
Thanks Ms Anderson 4 continuing 2 be an inspiration!

Love the circle ruler! Circles are always a pain to cut out. Also, your fabric is gorgeous :)

Try the pattern and see what you will need...you may already have a lot of the supplies. Just my thoughts.

$150-Kit, $60-Rotary cutter, $36.45-Ruler, $22.00-Appli-web Plus, $16-pressing sheet, $10 glue stick, ($10 pattern-in kit) TOTAL- $294.45. So almost $300.00??!!!! Does kit include batting and backing?? Prob not...And we pay that much to sew it together!!??
