Hydroponic Peppers from Seed to Harvest with the Kratky Method

In this video, I explore how to grow bell peppers in bucket containers using hydroponics! We go from seed to harvest and I show you everything it takes to grow and harvest your own bell peppers at home indoors or outdoors. I grow red, yellow and green snack peppers and they turn out great! I highly recommend growing these plants in your garden as they are relatively easily to take care of, and the harvests are very rewarding. If growing bell peppers indoors year round is something you want to do, this video will show you everything involved in that process!

Thanks for the step by step. Don't know why I decided to top up the reservoir but lets see how my first round continues to grow. For those who made the same mistake a airstone can save your plants as it did mine. From now on if its in the bucket I will leave it until harvest.

Tipp: if you cut the stonewool in two halfs and clamp the seed between them, you can after the germination easy release the plant from the wool. Also the seed will strip off from the first leafes.

Jimmy, WOW, thank you for answering all my questions, as a US ARMY Disabled veteran living in the Philippines, all my plants DIE here, 2 reasons SUN & BUGS, Now I see with the Kratky method, I can control the Sun better and for some reason the BUGS leave them alone! Thank you again for you help !

Very encouraging ! Growing pepper for the first time in hydroponics, I wasn't sure if simple Kratky would work or would i need a DWC/Dutch bucket. Want to keep things as simple as possible. Thanks for sharing

Awesome video - explains the process really well for a newbie... I would have loved to know more about your lighting situation though, how much - how long - how often 🙂

Try cleaning the bucket and replacing the water more often to decrease the bacteria and algae growth. You can add a little peroxide or Hydroguard when you refill it too

I really need to go to hydroponics as outdoor growing is way more difficult to get the same results. Indoors no pests just pure growth!

I didn’t know bell peppers can be grown to such way u did in water. I only think it works in garlic, onions and onion strings. Nice informative vid

I really love all of your videos.
How many hours of light did these peppers get each day?

Have you tried doing a couple in one bucket but adding a way to angle the plant into the bucket so they don't grow together and block the light? Think aeroponic style angles.

Question- Im growing mini peppers with a small countertop hydroponic kit. My plant started budding many flowers at 8 weeks but the flowers keep dying along with the pepper. It is almost like each pepper stem dies and shrivels up when the flowers are ready to fall off. Any advice?
