Making Fire in the Winter: Tinder, Wood, Resources

Here are some of my go to tinder sources during winter.

Here in Japan I can use Japanese cedar and kudzu.

Great video...we don't have a lot of birch here on Vancouver Island if any, but the rest of your options we can do...One more that is a sure-fire way to start a fire is pine pitch or any other coniferous tree pitch...that stuff burns like gasoline..have a good one bud
