I found her by accident at Tower records 40 years ago, I was buying Anita Baker CDs and the cash register lady says if you like Anita Baker you gonna love Shirley Horne....so I go and buy one of her CDs and the rest is history.... Saw her live in Harvard square as small venue....she held in to my shoulder to get on the stage.... incredible night 😊

I am shocked it has taken me 40+ years to discover Miss Nina Simone, but it is without a doubt she is neck in neck with my all time favourite artist. She is mind blowingly profound. & this album I have searched for, for 2 years & counting now, sigh, truly magnificent & my favourite of hers.
