Title: Top 5 Strongest EU4 Nations
Topics: A video discussing the top 5 strongest eu4 nations, and strongest eu4 starts in my opinion. Going through eu4 ottomans, eu4 ming, eu4 spain/ eu4 castile, eu4 france, eu4 austria and even talking about eu4 russia, eu4 prussia, eu4 Scandinavia and eu4 mughals. Europa Universalis 4 has some awesome nations to talk about!

Video Script:
EU4 has hundreds of different playable starts, scenarios and nations but today I wanted to dive into what I consider the 5 strongest eu4 nations. I will combine several factors including, nation start, nation ideas, nation missions amongst other intangibles to determine which 5 nations, I would consider in my top 5 strongest eu4 nations. Before I go into my top 5 strongest nations, I should give some honorable mentions. These go out to forming Prussia as Brandenburg, Mughals as Timurids, Russia as Muscovy, and Scandinavia as Sweden amongst many other countries. All of these nations have great ideas, and can be formed easily enough but they just don’t ekk into my top 5 strongest nations.

5. Castile:
Castile is a nation perfectly set up for greatness in eu4, with great colonization expansion routes, Easy PU’s on Aragon, Naples and Portugal through missions. Alongside a strong formable in Spain. Early game as a player Castile can dominant The Americas, North Africa and the whole colonial world, not to mention Italy and Iberia quite easily. I think castile combines the greatness of a easy and fun start for most players, with competitiveness for multiplayer, and strong enough ideas for any player to do well!
4. Austria:
Austria is distinct on this list that it’s dominance comes not just from Military prowess but also but diplomatic savvy. Austria starts as the Emperor the HRE and if played right can pretty easily reign in the empire and unite it to greatness. Not just to mention that with great diplomatic ideas, ease in getting PU’s over Hungary and Bohemia early on and a large early game force that can be fielded. Austria stands to dominate Central Europe and the world if played right! It may take some experience but once you get it down it can be beautiful!
3. France
France is an eu4 nation that combines the best of both world’s for any player. It takes the military might on par with almost any nation (like Prussia or Nepal) and combines that with the colonization power of other Western European nations. If you play France right you can quickly dominate Iberia, Italy and England securing free control of the whole New World. Not to mention missions that allow for easy expansion into Burgundy and the low countries. France is a nation that due to it’s size is extremely forgiving if you make mistakes, and it’s strong economic base and great ideas allow for easy domination of all your neighbors.
2. Ming
Ming is a nation that is at historical crossroads. The Chinese nobility has risen up and overthrown the steppes, but still nations like Oirat and in the future the Manchu lie on your doorsteps. You start of with the mandate of heaven which if you play it right and keep enough tributaries you can get bonus’s from. Not to mention Ming starts of with excessive economic and military force limit bases. If you can limit the steppe’s in the Northern Frontiers and avoid your diaster related to that Ming can be a nation easily maintained and can dominanate all parts of Asia.
1. Ottomans
All that being said the best of both world’s across all nations stands alone in strength. Other nations can be played to equal the Ottomans greatness, but the Ottomans have such strong Ideas, easy expansion paths and just straight up power that make them my number one strongest eu4 nation. The Ottomans early game can quite easily conquer the Byzatines, Mamelukes and North Africa. And can over time expand across the Muslim world and Western Europe. The Ottomans always dominante when you watch the AI play and their is a reason for that, they have great Missions, great Ideas and just are extremely overpowered. While they are missing out in part of the colonial exploits of other nations if you push hard enough towards the colonizers you can quite easily defeat them with a powerful navy you build and conquer their colonies.
