Neat. I use Airdrop between macs, my iPad and iPhone all the time so hopefully we can get bi-directional ‘nearby share’ on both sooner than later. More freedom to move between devices is always good, imo.

Who else remembers when every device just had bluetooth and anyone could share anything to anywhere? Yes, it was slower, but it worked. These tech companies need to start agreeing on standards.

I spent hours to search for a way to share files between my android and my mac. Neardrop is good. Also found KDE Connect, able to transfer files and clipboard back and forth between devices. Nice piece of software.

Finally, a YT short that taught me something new. I prefer the one install to many device option of the app installed to the Mac rather than the Android app.

Now if only we got an Apple TV+ Android native app...

Apple really needs to let this segregated ecosystem go. I'm an advertising & marketing professional and need to switch between an iMac, MacBook, desktop PC, Samsung phone & an iPhone 5 days a week. I had to get both Google One and extra iCloud storage just to make my workflow easier. They make me want to switch AWAY from anything Apple rather than go all in. It's not like all software or applications work on an iMac, anyway.
