Part 2 of my (I guess) annual wardrobe update. In this video we'll go over some of the simple repairs I did to quickly fix up some of my garments. I still have several bigger projects that need to be done, however I'd like to take my time with them and work on them in the background of bigger projects.

Thank you for taking the time to mention that fast fashion workers aren't unskilled! Giving up fast fashion this last year hasn't been easy on me but I just couldn't turn a blind eye after learning WHY it's possible to obtain it so cheaply and I appreciate when people make reminders for me to keep at it, and to hopefully educate others who are unknowingly exploiting underpaid workers and ruining the environment.
Anyways haha, another great video, you look super cute in all the 'afters'. 💖 Be well!

I dye professionally, and recommend the Dharma Trading Company dye remover product for natural fibers. It actually works and doesn't harm your garment, like a bleach based product would.

I personally just remove the elastic all together on the yellow dress and treat it like a slip dress then you can add a belt to change its waist

Or lower where the elastic hits 🤔

It is so refreshingly relatable to see someone else undo the alterations they had done before! Whenever I end up disliking some alterations I've made I don't want to take away all my hard work. But then I end up with an item i don't feel great about, and it becomes a very unhealthy mindset thing for me. Very nice to see you change up something you've done earlier to make the clothing item work for you!

I'd make the yellow dress a two-piece. Cute skirt, cute bra top. I think the empire waist just looks a bit... off... and it'd be a much cuter skirt.

Can you add shirring to the yellow dress down to your natural waist? I think that might look cute.

Ideally scrapping the empire waist and changing the silhouette would be best but if you did want to keep the empire maybe throw in a few tiers and add sleeves? Glad to see you well :)

I think the yellow sundress might be cuter as a skirt. Great vid!

My suggestion is cut the yellow dress into a skirt and modify the remaining top into a crop top with a big lacy, flowy trim. Maybe add an accenting color fabric to lengthen it before adding trim

I've had the project to add pockets to one of my skirts (so that I'll love and wear it even more) for weeks. Time to get to it ! 👏
Yay for alterations !

Seam ripping is my favorite thing to do when I'm stressed, so it was super relaxing to watch you remove those bunnies!

i like the yellow dress i think its just lacking in the waist. a white bow or something would make it look really cute especially with the blouse

I love how you transformed the houndstooth skirt! You inspired me and I used the same method for two of my wool skirts. It's such an easy way to refresh an old garment. Thank you so much!
