Interesting about collars and their relationship to your lower face. I never thought about that.
My face is narrow too and I do feel that way about scarves...they're overwhelming, especially the big pashminas that were so popular awhile back.

For those of us who overheat in a “shoulder pad top” like Trinny has here, there are shoulders pads that just attach to the bra straps. I wear these a lot, they’re not extreme, just a standard small size, and they sharpen up the shoulders a little and make clothes hang better. My shoulders are too narrow for most clothes, but I can only size down so much because of my full bust. So shoulder pads take up that bit of extra fullness in the fabric there. I also put them into my beloved knit blazers, they make a huge improvement. A small shoulder pad can be great, but unfortunately, designers have already taken them to the extreme again. Bigger isn’t always better. I wish they would focus more on flattering fits, not just art pieces.

I’d love to hear about distressed or holey denim, when does it work or not work? For me, I’ve learnt I don’t like the fading that runs down the thigh as it makes my legs look chunky!
