By watching your videos and others, eating a Carnivore/ketovore for for 7 months, I've lost 42 pounds and put on muscle. I have 23 more pounds to lose and going to put on at least 5 pou nda of muscle. Then reassess where I'm at and really target certain areas over the next year and lose fat and gain more muscle! I'll be 60 next year. My thumbnail picture is only from a couple of years ago. I look better now because im healthier.

You came along my feed at a great time. I am in intermittent fasting mode. I haven't eaten since yesterday. I am going 36 hours.

I did my monthly weigh in. I lost 20.4 pounds in the last month. Feeling pretty good. Part of my success has been thanks to you.

I've been tracking calories and macros in a deficit for 4 years. Lifting heavy, lifting moderate, walking 3.2 miles per day 5 days a week. I've done this while in ketosis and high carb/ high protein. I couldnt lose ANY weight. Not 1 single pound outside of the water drop when first going into ketosis. I stopped supplementing / increasing my protein and was finally able to lose about 3lbs. Doing a liquid fast for 4 days i was able to lose another 2-3 lbs. I was only 30lbs over weight. Cardio causes me to GAIN weight. No joke. I've tested it. If i keep my heart rate over 140bpm for any prolonged period i will gain weight.

And if you have no thyroid - removed due to thyroid cancer? How does this address building muscle mass?

I agree with having carbs before working out. I can lift heavier if I eat carbs than if I didn't.

I don’t know how to get in 135 g protein daily. When I was pregnant I aimed at 100 g and I was so sick from eating so much, esp because I struggle to digest animal proteins and I’m allergic to beans/legumes and soy., among many other things. And my thyroid isn’t going to work right, I have Hashimotos.
