Japanese voices make scenes sound incredibly intense and emotional without sounding cringe.

English voices have a way of sounding poetic and charismatic. So cool to get different interpretations.

Take the Sasuke scene for example. The Japanese voice sounds so intense off the bat.

Then take every scene Madara is in, his Japanese voice sounds so cool using Jutsu. But most of his dialogue is just kind of eh.

Where the English Madara every single thing he says sounds so rich and quotable like a philosopher.

I'm a sub > dub kind of guy but I can't hate on the dub in Naruto after giving it a more honest try. The English voice actors are really good, even Madara has grown on me over the years after I used to hate it for some reason. And Sasuke's English VA just nails it

The Naruto dub actually had a good cast. So many well done performances. Yuri lowenthal will always be one of my favorites because of Sasuke lol.

I'm surprised that there are no Guy scenes in this. I think his dub is one of the best in the entire show. For me, it's probably the only one that definitively beats sub. In dub, he's more energetic and goofy, but I think it suits him very well. And it just hits different when he gets serious before opening the Eight Gate against Madara. When he says, "And I assure you that this is no bluff." to Kakashi, I get chills every time. Same thing with Might Duy, since he and Adult Guy are voiced by the same actors. With how similarly goofy Duy is in dub, when he says, "The self-rule..." to Guy before fighting the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, he sounds incredibly badass.
