In this tutorial, I'm going to teach you how to add some code to your theme that causes external links on your online store to open in a new browser tab. This can be beneficial because it helps to prevent customers from navigating away from your online store. External links are URLs that direct customers to different websites, such as the links included in social media icons.

good tutorial and it works. The only issue is most browsers now block it and you have to go in settings to allow it. So for now i've reverted back to internal/on page links unfortunately.

Thank you so much. This helped much. The only issue I have once putting in the code is that when I hover over my products, this black box with a description of the product shows up now. How can I get rid of that? Thank you :)
