If you can get there early and start them cold and work through the transmission selects without any noises or hesitations usually works out well for me. It can tell you a lot and save you a couple a headaches.

I'm guilty of this not servicing transmission but any car I've had I've not had issues but I know the right thing to do is service the transmission but I do get my oil change at the local Lincoln dealer plus a 20 point inspection.

Don't forget the next time you clean that interior, use a carpet steam cleaner on the carper, seats and that canopy

I looked at the green Expedition and the Dodge truck the day before the auction also. In the case of the Expedition, the headlight mounts were busted so they would also have needed to be replaced and I couldn't deal with the HEAVY smoke smell. Also, I can almost guarantee that the cam phasers, tensioner, chain and rails were shot so it was also a big no for me too. I really wanted to like the Dodge but I just didn't think that good of a truck. True, someone would've bought it but I didn't trust that thing to make it around the block lol. The pictures made it look like a decent truck but really didn't show the bald tires or the leaking a/c compressor either.
Question: Aren't the keys supposed to be in the vehicles? I lost count of how many didn't have keys in them.

I would definitely bid on the Ram truck. Looks like a very easy fix.
Bonus, you can use that truck to haul Copart cars. To haul back to the house. And car hauler trailers are not that expensive. And you probably can get one from Copart.
An it would save the money for the fees in registration and license plate fees.
