I feel the situation with Trouba is he reads the puck carrier so well to be in great position for heavy contact hits, and it's not predatory, he just more often than not hits them in the head when he rises into the hits. So some are illegal, but not "dirty" in the sense that he's doing it on purpose.
Reminds me of Kronwall (just without the signature reverse hit). Takes himself out of position to make a heavy hit that sometimes isn't legal, but he's not purposely headhunting (except maybe 2:39 and 3:32)
Seems to just be an issue with his hitting form, he needs to be more responsible

Almost entirely clean hard hits. The one against Stone was a headshot for sure, and the one against the blues was an elbow….but most of these massive collisions are clean as a whistle and exactly how the game is supposed to be played.

It’s so stupid he has to fight after almost every single (totally clean) hit. It’s a tactic by the other team to get a whistle, negating whatever advantage the hit generated. Instigator penalty needs to be used more

I think he’s a great player. A higher percentage of his big hits were dirty in Winnipeg than in NY. His issue is definitely with high hits, but I think many times it’s just good hockey.
