How to: Use Link Pin Dust Seal

Pin Dust Seals are a type of wiper seal, that prevent contaminants from entering the pivot points on excavators.

Often used in areas that are exposed to harsh and dusty environments.

These are ideal when fitted alongside bushes, as shown here in our video which demonstrates two pin dust seals being fitted alongside a hardened steel bush.

How to Use a Pin Dust Seal

1. Fit the Hardened Steel Bush into your housing (POM housing is used in our video here for demonstration purposes).
2. Take one of the Pin Dust Seals and fit it into the housing with the lip side facing the bush.
3. Fit the adjacent Pin Dust Seal in the same way as the first one.
4. Once this assembly has been completed the Bush and Pin Seals are now ready to accept the pin for the final assembly.
