I know this video is over 5 years old by now, but I just wanted to say thank you for giving me a lifetime's worth of knowledge in a short, concise video. I watched this in one go, and am now able to resize any watch for the rest of my days, thank you sir!

Definitely appreciate this video! I pre-purchased all the necessary tools to remove the links on the watch but me being a first-time user do not know how to use them. With this video it lead me in the right direction and I took from there. Thanks for your time and uploading this video.

I just adjusted my watch by removing 5 chain links, easier said than done without the proper tools, but absolutely worth it. Thank you for showing me how to do this! The arrows are crucial to find the links that can be adjusted, my watch had 8 of them (4 on each side). Additionally, you can further fine-tune the size by the clip in the middle. The pin that goes in there is spring-loaded. With a nail you can dislodge the pin and move it to another slot. Also, if you have a nail with a flat head, you can use it to press into the opposite side of a link you're trying to reassemble. That keeps the structure in place. Make sure that the nail is a bit bigger than the hole though, otherwise it will wedge itself in. Keep that nail bottom side and rested on a crafting table, and whack ahead. Make sure to check regularly whether the pin is actually going where it's supposed to.

Thank you so much for this video. Got a very inexpensive set of required tools from Amazon ($10) and with your step by step guide was able to take links out from each side of the watch with absolutely no problem. My local jeweler wanted to charge me $15 just for the one time, now I'm independent for life!

Thanks for the video! Amazing how we use to take these to the store to get resized. Never knew it was so simple.

Thank you! I was on my way to the jeweler to have a warch band resized. Realized I had a deluxe repair kit. Pulled it out, watched your vid and did it myself! 😇

It's 2022 and I got the little kit, took my band apart on both sides and put it back together again following your video and it all worked and a nice sense of accomplishment. Thank you!

I just got the same blue plastic link removal tool off Amazon for $4 CDN shipping included! And it worked a charm. Smooth as butter! Thanks for the clear video.

Thanks for this. My Wife had an old Omega watch that was a little tight, so after familiarising myself with how the pins/links worked using your guide, I was able to resize it by adding a couple of links to it. I had to make do with using a SIM needle and a meat tenderiser lol, but I was very careful and had no trouble other than being unable to recess the pins as described at 3:30.

all the reactions about you "yanking" out the pin only mean they haven't tried it themselves. I found this video really useful and well put together. It sure helped me, and yes, I had to "yank" it out too. Maybe in a 2 dollar watch the pins aren't as hard to pull out, but mine surely were. And I probably would have stopped trying (out of fear of damaging the watch) if you hadn't shown that the use of force was necessary. Great job and thank

Thank you MUCH for this tutorial! I was cleaning today sorting through some storage boxes & found an Apple Watch band I purchased over 2 years ago still in the box. Watching your video I was able to learn how to remove the extra link & adjust the band for my wrist size. I removed 5 links, put everything back together & now I am a happy camper!!! 🙏🏾👍🏾👌🏾🖤💛🥰🌈

yay! a 5 minute video for a 5 minute process. I can't believe some of the choices are 30 minutes long!!! The watch band link remover is pretty cruddy but it does the job if you can line up the screw with the pinhole

2:11 "now carefully pull this pin out" : *pulls pin out with great force* 😂😂

I followed your instructions and was able to remove two links from my band in just a few minutes. Fortunately, I had already purchased a tool in anticipation of learning how to do this. Anyway, the band on my new watch fits perfectly. Thanks for the excellent video.

The one with the pins near the clasp was the easiest one for me to do since I don't have a tool kit like yours and even tho it's not fully fitted it still fits right. Thank you for the help

Thank you for teaching me how to adjust my new watch. Sadly I didn't buy the adjusting kit with the watch, so it took an extra couple of days before I could use my watch.

Brilliant! The blue tool worked wonders! And to think they were going to charge me $25 USD at the mall to do this. Well done, sir!

Now that's a proper video, thanks. There was this other guy using a rusted metal hammer and a cheap tool that broke, wasn't going to follow his advise
