I am really disappointed with the lack of wings on the Sang guard. It was their iconic feature. Now they just look like vanguard vets painted gold.

I wish I wasn't disappointed in these guys. The majesty just isnt there for me. I know sometimes "less is more"; but here I feel like more would have been more, especially more models in the kit.

For me, it's not the lack of wings (I never really liked the wings anyway), it's the last of detail around the torsos. The old ones had beautiful collars and engravings. And each chest piece of was different. I will also be keeping by some of the old spare heads to use on the new ones I reckon, because these ones just don't feel right

Sanguinary guard and death guard are what got me into 40k tabletop.
Now that i see this I'm glad i sold the army just over a year ago and went all in on Necrons.
Sanguinary guard should have wings! No exceptions or excuses!
And 3 for the price of 5! RIP off!

SG would have worked if they had the same jump packs as the sanguinor.
Now they're just so... bland.
And only 3 is a frustrating thing too.

Pretty sure most BA players will be upset that the wings were removed. The spears are cool though. Not good that they missed with these as well as the inquisitor. They need to do a better job of sculpting if they want people to keep being excited for and to keep buying these VERY expensive models

Forget the wings, there are work arounds for that. I'm salty as f*** about going from 5 to a box to 3 to a box. And as the current models are £37 for 5, the same price as the Dark Angel's Inner Circle, you can take that to the bank GW will set them to 3 for £37 too. #FGW

GW should let the Stormcast Eternals model designers (or AOS designers in general) do Space Marines... now they just look like a 8 year old would have been in charge of design

40k has almost nothing that stands in comparison to AOS sculpts sadly

The loss of the wings really just makes them look like Stormcast with Primaris Jump Packs. I’m sure they didn’t get fancier ones because spruce design but also to make them look to similar to the Sanguinor. Probably wanted him to stand out if he was surrounded by the Sanguinary Guard, but still really disappointing. And honestly, why are all their recent videos so flipping dark? I could understand if the are trying for a grim atmosphere, but it look more like they just cheated out and didn’t turn on enough lights to really show the models.

Edit - Also one of the Guards looks to have a goofy pose, at least how he is photographed. He looks more like he is landing badly and about to fall over backwards.
